How to advocate for yourself when your provider is not familiar with Tarlov cysts

Most healthcare professionals are not well informed about Tarlov cysts. They may not have been exposed to Tarlov cyst disease in their education, training, or practice. Alternatively, they may hold the outdated and mistaken belief that Tarlov cysts do not cause symptoms. Therefore, people living with TCD may have to educate their own providers.
